Just to nit-pick a little, "electrocuted" means "killed by
electricity".  By definition you can't survive electrocution.  A
"shock" is a non-lethal contact with electricity.  As a power supply
electrical engineer I have been zapped many times.  Never as bad as
your uncle-  As far as I can tell I have suffered no permanent
effects...  Though some might argue the point.
