For a colleague I bring this message to all who can
help:
"REGARDING ENDOSCOPIC TRANSTHORACIC SYMPATHECTOMY -
REOPERATION. CONNECT THE SYMPATHETIC NERVE TO
RECALL THE NERVOUS SIGNALS TO THE
SWEAT-GLANDS IN HANDS, ARMS AND FACE.
I have been operated for excessive sweating in
hands. It is one year ago. Very bad results
(sideeffects):
1. Much to dry hands and face (also head). No sweat
at all. Causing very bad exzema, loosing of skin,
sorely hands and face, sensitive thin skin, much
dandriff in head. Have to add cream approximately
20 times a day. Problem with water and sope.
2. At first very hot hands, but today the hands are
very cold when outside. Much colder than ever.
Also cold feet.
3. Very much compensatory sweating. Located on the
back, the belly, the breast, under arms and on the
thigh. Not only during pfysical exercise and high
out-side temperature, but also in the office, the
car, social occations and so on. The clothes and
body becomes totally wet. Because of this, I am
freezing much easier. Very cold and freezing. It is
nothing beetween. Either sweating or freezing.
Result: Not able to carry out my job anymore. I am a
policeman. Problems with using my hands at home, no
training anymore, social problems and so on.
I have been in contact with several other persons in
Norway, that also have gone threw this operation,
and with the same side-effects. I am worried.
The operation: They used endoscop, and burned off
the sympathetic trunc 1-2 m.m. beetween the 1. and
2. thoraxale ganglia. No ganglia are hurt, just the
nerve beetween.
Question: Is it possible to connect the sympathetic
nerve again, so the nervetracks again will transmit
the signals to
the sweat glands.
I guess it will require open thorax-surgery, but
never the less.
Is it possible to do an operation like that? It will
mean a lot to me if I can recall sympathetic control
over hands, head and face. It will give me the life
back.
Can you please do some research around this subject.
Is an operation like this carried out somewhwhere in
the world? Is it possible to find out.
I will be very greatful if you can give me an
answer. I hope so much."
