I have been reading about a theory of brain functioning which is called
the Tensor Network Theory. The authors are Pellionisz and Llinas. I came
across their ideas in two books, Matter and Consciousness by Paul Churchland
and Neurophilosophy by Patricia Churchland. The books date from 1986 and
1988 respectively. I would like to know how this theory has been doing for
these last years. Is there any empirical data that has lent support to the
theory? Has it´s applications perhaps been more on the connectionist line?
I´d appreciate any info, references etc. on recent developments in
neuroscience concerning this theory.
