The University of Maryland School of Medicine at Baltimore is seeking a
postdoctoral fellow with mammalian cell culture experience to join a
multidisciplinary research group studying brain development and aging in
the trisomy 16 mouse, an animal model for Down syndrome and Alzheimer's
disease. We have identified deficits in neuron survival, intracellular Ca
homeostasis, and learning and memory, as well as abnormal brain
development in these mice. The research group uses state-of-the-art
methods including laser scanning confocal microscopy, computer-assisted
imaging of intracellular Ca, cellular neurophysiology, and molecular
biology. Ph.D. or M.D. required. Experience in Ca imaging preferred. The
position provides health care benefits and a competitive salary. Contact
