PART-TIME POSITION AT THE NIH.

We are looking for a student willing to participate in a research project 
as a Special Volunteer at the Laboratory of Adaptive Systems, NINDS, NIH, 
Bethesda, for the period 1/1/96 - 6/1/96.

The project concerns the purification and characterization of central 
nervous system proteins involved in cognitive processes such as learning 
and memory.

Depending on the diligence shown in the above period, the student is 
likely to be offered a paid position as a NIH Summer Student in the 
summer 1996.

The student will receive specific training in advanced biochemical 
techniques such as protein extraction and quantitation, High Performance 
Liquid Cromatography and Western Blot analysis. Only basic chemical 
laboratory experience (buffer preparation, pHmeter usage) are required.
High flexibility in the schedule (average of 15-25 hrs/wk) are guaranteed.
