I don't know about the drug angle, but I'm looking on the web for
information for a relative with TN and I've run across this
association you may wish to contact. I'm sorry I can't get the
URL for you at the moment, but here's other contact info:
The National Chronic Pain Outreach Association
7979 Old Georgetown Rd.
Suite 100
Bethesda, MD 20814-2429
Phone 301-652-4948
Fax 301-907-0745
Also Massachusetts General Hospital has
a web page with names of neurosurgeons
etc. and links to the above association
as well as the TN group you mentioned.
I can't connect to do a search to get the
URLs but if you search on chronic pain
and tic douloureax you should get the
hits I did.
Does anyone know of any effective natural painkillers?
The side-effects seem to be the main concern that drives
people into surgery(at least that seems to be happening
with my relative) and I'd like to find an alternative
if possible(I did get the other person's note about
proparacaine.)
