Melatonin is normally present in very low concentrations in
blood (pM I think) but with the heroic amounts that people
are taking I would imagine that melatonin could have any
number of effects, possibly not even mediated by the
melatonin receptor. In fact, there was a poster at neuroscience
by Len Niles suggesting that at high concentrations, melatonin
has effects on other receptors.
