Greetings from MTL. While i"m still reading about it and checking out the
literature, i would like to ask anyone familiar with F-wave recordings,
particularly in stroke subjects, some questions...
1) are there any studies published citing F-wave recordings taken from
proximal muscles?
2) Is it technically feasible to distinguish F-wave from superimposed
M-wave when eliciting F-waves from musculocutaneous nerve and
recording from a proximal muscle (i.e. biceps brachii)?
3) If not what are the other possibilities (muscle and nerve)?
4) Is it acceptable to compare persistence and F-wave\M-wave ratio taken
from the non-involved side with those taken from the involved side in order to
assess relative excitability of motoneuronal pools.
Merci d"avance!. Any references or comments addressing these questions would
be welcome. Please E-mail at boissyp at ere.umontreal.ca
