The anandamide receptor should be tested against the
Eicosapentenoyl ethanolamide analog of anandamide (arachidoyl
ethanolamide). EPA analogs often have significant antagonistic
and,rarely, agonistic activity relative to their arachidoyl congeners.
The classic example is the beneficial effect of EPA on the cardivascular
system which is well understood in Japan.
Unfortunately it may be difficult to make a profit on EPA because
I doubt if even its ethanoloamide is patentable....
