Does a really great reference discussing all the different
types of optokinetic behaviors exist?
Depending upon species, optokinetic behaviors include
optokinetic reflex of mammals (and other terrestrials)
optomotor reflex of fish, frogs, salamanders and other
mixed environment animals
(and others)
For you mammophiles,
the optomotor reflex is a whole body movement
to visual flow-field movement exhibited by these
poikilothermic animals. These animals lack the mobile
neck of us terrestrial types
In particular, I am looking for information about the
neuroanatomical pathway for the optomotor reflex.
