A federal funded position for a PhD student is available at the neurobiology
department of the Ruhr-University, Bochum, Germany, to study mechanisms of
spatial vision and visuomotor integration (see
http://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/~lappembu/home.html for more information). The
lab uses a variety of techniques including neurophyiology on awake monkeys,
psychophysics and fMRI on humans, and neural network modelling. The PhD
project could focus on any of these areas. Candidates should have a strong
interest in neuroscience and a background in biology, physics, psychology, or
mathematics.
