Hi there
Do you know of any newsgroups where I can chat to doctors and patients
concerning tarsal
tunnel syndrome?
It's been 3 weeks since I had surgery for tarsal tunnel syndrome.
I am now able to generate an 'electrical shot' from the ball of my foot
into my toes when I press
the ball of my foot with my fingers. I never had this symptom before
the operation. I also have
the sensation of a wide, tight rubber band on the ball of my foot and up
into my second toe?! At its' worst it is
so tight that I am barely able to move the toes.
My podistrist is stumped. I told him the discomfort I have at night is
similar to what I felt when
wearing night braces for plantar faciitis. He says the the constriction
of the plantar fac. could be
putting pressure on the nerve resulting in my current symptoms. Does
this sound feasible? I
was never diagnosed with plantar faciitis in this foot, but wore the
night brace as a preventative
measure when diagnosed with plantar faciitis in the other(right) foot.
The discomfort I had while wearing the night brace was caused due to the
pressure of the ball of the foot pressing against the brace. At no time
have I ever had the current symptoms!
Thanks for any leads.
Fran.
