"More than" means that it includes this but goes further. I once read somewhere that a bad historian will ell you what happend when,
a good historian will tell you what when and why, and an excellent historian will tell you what would have happend had a given event
not happend. (excessively paraphrased) The same is true of a scientist.

Who ever it is you are talking about, philosophy is not about following a philosophy. Thats called being a sheep, religious, etc...
Thinking about the world around you and trying to work out what the hell just happend, that's philosophy.
