Wow. I didn't realize my posting would produce so many responses. I ment
merely to present my idea of what I had written in the previous discussion.
I had assumed that someone would pop up and tell me I didn't know what I was
talking about, and they wouldn't have been too far off. Thank you for your
responses, they have sparked ideas in me. I liked the idea that binary
signals seem to be used for long distance communication and that non-binary
signals were more for communicating locally.
