Got a specific ref ("anyone, anyone anyone"? :-)

Pub Med doesn't work for me [probably because I've got some stuff
turned-off. Get hacked enough without pitching-in with respect to
such.

BTW, I 'missed' it earlier, but I do not "claim the natural tendency
of neural tissue is to minimize excitation".

I claim the natural tendency of nervous systems is to simultaneously
minimize excitation and maximize inhibition.

A couple of Big-Differences in-there.

1. no neuron's structure and function can be adequately-addressed
outside of its fully-integrated topological 'sontext' within a
nervous system.

2. "minimizing excitation" is not the same as "simultaneously
minimizing excitation and maximizing inhibition", at least not in a
Living nervous system.

It's all discussed in AoK.

Over the short-term, many subsystems' dynamics contradict the
"fundamental wisdom" [AoK, Ap4] of TD E/I-minimization, which allows
overall [long-term] TD E/I-minimization, up to the [resetable]
"volitional diminishing-returns decision" TD E/I threshold.
