< I wouldn't know about these things. The majority of Canadians are in favour
< of equal rights for same sex marriages.
Oddly, I spent a couple of hours last night on the phone with a friend
in Onatario. She tells me that Alberta is the only province where
support of gay marriage gets less than 50%, with approval ranging
from a slight majority to a very large one in the remaining ten, with
Quebec having the highest numbers.
She also mentioned that the Ontario Court of Appeals has struck down
the ban on gay marriages, something that the Federal goverment
will have to respond to in a timely manner if they want to see it
reinstated -- but so far, there seems to be little
interest in doing so. She also told me that none of the candidates
in your odd slow-motion shuffle to be the next Prime Minister
have publicly supported trying to renew the ban, and at least
one (whose name I can not possibly spell) has publicly endorsed
homosexual marriage for years
< Actually, I believe more people are
< in support of homosexuality than Atheism, which is truly disturbing.
Oops. Well, we better not go there then...
