"Where Freedom Reigns", By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN

http://www.nytimes.com/2002/08/14/opinion/14FRIE.html

"The rioting didn't spread anywhere. One reason is the long history of Indian Muslims and Hindus living together in villages and towns, sharing communal institutions and mixing their cultures and faiths."

[Copyright 2002, by the New York Times.]

The correlation that the Author draws to Democracy is valid.

The other thing is that the prejudice toward the familiar that precipitated ['engineered' the onset of] the riots is the specific thing against which Democracy stands.

I've been over the "why" repeatedly in the past.

Differential experience induces differential behavioral-'preference'.

What NDT exposes is how and why such differential stuff has no foundation in any absolute experiential reality.

NDT exposes that all the Savagery that, supposedly, derives in behavioral-'preference', actually derives in Illusion that's perpetuated solely via the absence of understanding with respect to the manner in which nervous systems process-information.

Truth Dissolves the 'illusion'.
