My suspicion is that on some level, you realize that "stupidity" is a
level of intellectual achievement to which you aspire, but to date
have not actually accomplished, and thus confer it as an honored title
on your betters, since you can't concieve of a higher state.

You are mistaken.
The United States of America is founded on the principle that
governments derive their just power to rule from the consent of the
governed, and that rebellion against an unjust government is the right
and responsibility of the people. Christianity -- look it up --
maintains that governments derive their just power to rule by Divine
Right, and that to revolt against a government is to revolt against
God Himself. What's more, the Treaty of Malta explicitly notes that
the United States is in no way founded upon the Christian Religion.
