John, if Kish were being called a Benjaminite, there would be no comma
between Kish and a Benjaminite. These are items in a series, all modifying,
or giving additional information about Mordechi.
In fact the New International Version translates the passage this way:
    Esther 2:5
        "Now there eas in the citidel of Susa a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin
named Mordechi son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish....
