"Greenspan Praises Role of Derivatives", By MARTIN CRUTSINGER AP Economics Writer

I agree with Mr. Buffet.
There is a place for Intelligent deal-making, but such and easily become an institutionalized form of 'moving away from' Truth.
If anything's easy, it will happen, expecially in the 'heat' of desperate attempts to control the ramifications of less-than-Intelligent deal-making.
At the very least, complex derivatives should be generally overseen because of the opportunity of recklessness that they constitute.
Failure with respect to such is, as Mr. Buffet points out, [institutionalized] "time bomb" stuff.
