as far as im awear, the cells arn't killed... well most of them arn't. I
think a degree of apoptosis is seen, mainly the effected cells lose axons.
They regrow but in a different partern to the original.
Recreational dosing of amphetamines is believed by many to cause behaviour
deficits, resulting from the neurotoxicity.
