Just because you say it, doesn't make it true.  Any evidence?

I think you'll find that a strobe light isn't a sound - so what is its 
relevance here?

All fascinating, except that tape recorders, headphones and speakers 
made for domestic use can't reproduce sound outside of the accepted 20Hz 
- 20kHz range; most work in the range 50Hz - 16kHz.  So how were you 
reproducing these "inaudible beat frequencies"?  Do you know what a beat 
frequency is?
