TLI ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM: Mechanisms and Prevention of Environmentally
Caused Cancers

PURPOSE: The purpose of this symposium is to promote collaboration between
scientists interested in the basic mechanisms of environmentally caused cancer and
investigators focusing on preventing cancer development with chemo-intervention
strategies.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Bruce Ames
OTHER SPEAKERS: Over 30 eminent scientists, including Eric Stanbridge,
Curt Harris, Stephen Friend, and Gary Stoner
TOPICS: Genetic mechanisms of carcinogenesis, molecular epidemiology,
environmental carcinogens, chemoprevention; principles, prospects, and biomarkers.
REGISTRATION FEE: Students - $75; Others - $150
POSTERS: All participants are invited to display posters describing recent
research pertinent to the symposium.
