Hello out there. I am currently using low concentrations (ug/L) of
methylmercuric chloride for toxicology tests on fish. I have produced
about 40L of liquid waste with a concentration of <100 ug/L methylmercuric
chloride. I'm wondering if anyone has a procedure for precipitating
out CH3HgCl so that I can reduce my waste volume. I have heard of some
procedures but no one I've talked with seems to know the exact method.
Thanks in advance,
Jennifer Samson
