Susceptibility and resistance to biomaterial toxicity are influenced by
host factors such as age, sex, health, nutritional and hormonal status.
Toxic effects of certain biomaterials are also influenced by
simultaneous and consecutive exposure to other chemicals, environmental
and physical factors. The toxic effects include increase or decrease of
biotransformation and other biological processes.
I'm looking for a good review on factors modifying toxic effects of
biomaterials. Any help or pointers to relevant sources of information is
welcome! Thanks in advance...
