Continuing Position
Biotechnology Research Institute (Montreal, Quebec)
Your Challenge
Reporting to the Director General, the manager will be responsible for
the development, promotion and management of contributions, collaborative
and contracting-in projects, leading to the industrial technology
transfer of BRI R&D activities. The manager will assess biotechnology
projects of the Institute for its commercial utility by interacting
directly with scientists, engineers and laboratory management. He/she
will assist Canadian companies to identify and access technical expertise
at BRI and will evaluate and champion proposals for new business
ventures.
Education
A University Degree in Science or Engineering and a master degree or
experience in business administration commensurate with the duties and
responsibilities to be performed.
Your credentials
Extensive industrial experience in the management of technology transfer
programs in biotechnology. Similar experience in biochemistry,
bioengineering, food or agriculture may be accepted depending on the
extent of involvement with the R&D environment. Experience in promoting
marketing strategies, the negotiation an preparation of contractual
agreements.
Knowledge of English and French is essential for that position. A
security screening will be required.
The salary range for this position varies according to qualifications and
experience. A relocation costs may be negotiable.
