I need urgent information as to the association between central neuropathy and
the administration of Vincristine given by the intravenous route ( not
intrathecally). There are several reports in the the literature of Vincristine
encephalopathy in the 1970s but does anyone have more recent examples? In my
case VCR was given on days 1 and 4 for a Wilms Tumour. Radiotherapy to the
brain was also given as it was thought there was a metastasis. The outcome was
irreversible and extensive brain damage.
