BioMedical Application Scientist

Applications are invited for an Application Scientist
position in the Sales and Marketing Department of MGA
Software to support two product lines: ACSL BioMed and
ACSL Tox. ACSL BioMed is the first commercially
available product that performs complete clinical trial
simulation. ACSL Tox is used by scientists to model
and simulate chemical kinetics and toxicology studies and
performs such functions as nonlinear regression, hypothesis
testing and sensitivity analysis.

The primary responsibilities of the Application Scientist
will include supporting the sales and marketing department
by visiting clients, including most of the world's largest
pharmaceutical companies, to demonstrate software products,
answer technical questions regarding pharmacokinetic and
pharmacodynamic modeling (and their use in clinical trial
simulation) and to support the development process of new
software products in the ACSL BioMed and ACSL Tox
product family. In addition, consulting opportunities and
writing and presenting technical papers regarding the use
of simulation, and supporting a world wide network of
independent consultants using the software is also required.

To qualify, you should be a scientist with doctoral level
training (although a Ph.D./M.D. is not required) in
pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences,
pharmaceutical chemistry, or a related discipline and 2+
years of industrial experience in clinical pharmacokinetics
or a related discipline. You should have demonstrated a
knowledge of clinical trial simulation (or demonstrate the
ability to quickly learn clinical trial simulation), and/or
chemical kinetic or toxicology simulations. Experience in
the drug development process, regulatory requirements, and
demonstrated capabilities in existing pharmacokinetic software
packages (i.e. NONMEM) and advanced clinical trial data analysis
(using SAS, SPlus) are pluses.

MGA Software is the world's leading nonlinear systems simulation
company. MGA's suite of simulation software products are used
in numerous industries including aerospace, automotive,
pharmaceutical, chemical, and utilities. Our software is
used at over 3500 sites around the world, including over
500 universities. We offer highly competitive compensation
packages and the atmosphere of working in a small company,
where everyone's contributions are critical to our success.
