I volunteer at an aroboretum where there is a small 2.5 acre lake.
We have been told to encourage people to not throw any food (esp.bread,
cheerios, etc.) into the water because it can lead to botulism and then
the death of fish and birds. My question is basically this: Is there a
large risk involved in throwing cheerios (that float) into the water?
Should we really be concerned?
