A meeting/workshop entitled "Heterotrimeric G protein-coupled
receptors: Actions on cell growth, apoptosis, and synaptic plasticity in the
brain and other systems" will take place on Aug. 16-18, 1999 in Poitiers,
France. Co-organizers of the meeting are: James A. Waschek, Jean
Marc Muller, and Vincent Lelihvre.
This meeting is being held to bring together neuroscientists and
others working in the field of heterotrimeric G protein signaling leading
to growth-related effects together with some of the well-established
experts in the field of Ras/MAPkinase signal transduction.
The meeting is being held as a satellite of the International
Society of Neurochemistry (ISN) meeting, which will be held in Berlin during
the preceding week. Attendance at the ISN meeting in Berlin, and ISN
membership are not necessary for participation in the satellite.
