Lead Model Development: Probabilistic Risk Assessment and Biokinetic Modeling
June 14-17, 1999
Research Triangle Park, NC

Sponsored by the National Center for Environmental Assessment, Office of
Research and Development, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

U.S. EPA's National Center for Environmental Assessment (NCEA) is
conducting a workshop to provide EPA with expert technical guidance
specific to applications of mathematical models of lead exposure,
bioavailability, and biokinetics in risk assessment.

The preliminary agenda includes sessions on Biokinetics Models, Mathematics
of Modeling, Modeling of Growth and Development, Calcium Metabolism and
Bone Transfer Mechanisms, Blood Cell and Plasma Interactions, Maternal and
Fetal Biokinetics, and Probabilistic Risk Assessment.
