Dear Colleague,
I am looking for a post doc candidate and I have a position for one year at
least to offer. Can you diffuse this proposal in your lab ? Thank you for all.
Yours sincerely
Marc Moreau

A post doctoral position is available for a candidate who is interested by
the problems of neural induction in amphibians.
In amphibians (Pleurodeles) the transduction of the neuralizing signal
involves calcium dependant pathways (see Moreau et al. (1994) Proc Natl.
Acad. Sci., 91:12639-12643; Leclerc et al. (1995) Cell Calcium, 17: 216-224).
We think that the specificity of the response depends on the activation of
genes which needs the activation of IEG. In fact we have recently
demonstrated in vitro that CREB is phosphorylated and fos activated.
We are looking for a candidate to study these pathways in vivo on amphibian
embryos. I have a salary at least for one year. A second year can be
possible. (see details of the salary below )
Since the post doctoral position starts from January 1st, I must have a
curriculum vitae of the presumptive candidate as soon as possible.
You can contact me by fax or email.
POST DOCTORAL POSITION IN CELLULAR AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
Objectives :
A post doctoral position is opened for one year (starting from January 1st
1996) to join a group studying calcium signalling involved in neural cell
determination in amphibian embryon (Pleurodeles). The project will focus on
the investigation of transcription factors expression (particularly fos
family) in response to neural inducers using in vitro and in vivo methods.
Requirements :
The candidate must have a Ph.D. and a backgroung in molecular biology
technics (PCR analysis, construction of cDNA recombinant plasmids, in situ
hybridization ... and a keen interest in transcriptional regulation of gene
expression).
Salary :
Salary will be on the scale for CNRS researcher according to the
qualifications of candidate (between 150,000 to 170,000 french francs per
annum, net income (about 28,000 to 30,000 US dollars)
