I am interested in finding the proper protocols for a study that I would
like to do this spring. I would like to estimate sperm counts and %live
sperm in spermatophores of Ambystoma texanum. Most of what I have found so
far deals with protocols for mammals or chickens. Do you have or know of
protocols for salamanders, including procedures to free sperm from the
gelatinuous base of the spermatophore? I can give more details as to what I
have been planning to do, but will wait to hear from you first as you may
already know of established protocols in this regard. Thank you.
