Hello!

My name is Laura Muzinic and, as many of you know, I am the
Associate Director of the Ambystoma Genetic Stock Center (AGSC),
formerly known as the Indiana University Axolotl Colony. My husband,
Chris, who is the Curator, and I have been very busy the past two
months. Nearly all of the axolotls have been relocated here in
Kentucky and we expect the move to be finished next week.

Jill and Sandi have graciously been taking care of all embryo
and larvae orders this last month, while Chris and I have started to
fulfill orders for food, juveniles, and sub-adults. Along those
lines, University of Kentucky has a contract with UPS. Therefore any
orders going out where we pay for the shipping first (and then
invoice the fee later) will go out via UPS, unless otherwise
requested. Anyone wishing to use their own Fed Ex / UPS account
number, or any other carrier, is fine - we can and will ship with
whomever you have your account.

Animal Orders - We will continue the tradition of the August
breeding hiatus. This will give the females their well-deserved
break, as well as help us settle into our new positions and duties.
Therefore, early-stage embryos will not be available again until
September, but any orders for larvae and juveniles are welcome, as
well as any requests for pellets, shrimp, salt, etc. Orders can be
sent to us via e-mail (ambystoma at uky.edu) or by phone at 859-323-5679.

Our Website - is in the rough working stages at the moment.
However, any new or current user of the Axolotl Colony is being asked
to fill out a new registration form for us at the AGSC. The form can
be found at : http://bigapple.uky.edu/~axolotl/colony/
registration.html. Please fill it out (if you have not already) and
hit "Submit". It will be sent to me in the form of an e-mail.

Thank you to everyone for the understanding and patience during
this period of transition. I know all of us involved have
appreciated the support. Drop me or Chris a line anytime at
ambystoma at uky.edu.

--Laura
