This newsgroup would clearly benefit from moderation.
However, it appears that attempting to moderate an unmoderated group is a
treacherous move, and one that requires the efforts of a team of dedicated
moderators ( www.eyrie.org/~eagle/faqs/mod-pitfalls.html ).
Unfortunately, this newsgroup appears to be pretty abandoned. Agreed, that
is probably a result of the financial SPAM trash posted here, but we'd need
a considerable show of interest from a couple individuals willing to brave
it into moderation.
The alternative is to hope the group will revive on its own steam. I'm not
holding my breath.
