Hello,
          I am pursuing D.Phil in the area of Social gerontology. The
focus of my research is on positive ageing and along with this I have
done some studies on successful ageing. I am interested in working in
some projects on social gerontology. Can anybody inform me about that?

King's College London.
I suggest that you go to their web site; www.kcl.ac.uk
and then Departments, and find the Institute of Gerontology.
