FYI

If you use WoRMS here is a today's news release summary of some activities there, plus the early interpretation of it by some journalists. Expect more versions.

Although editing is done by volunteers, funding for infrastructure and the work of fulltime staff running the Aphia database itself at VLIZ Belgium currently comes through LifeWatch, the European e-infrastructure for biodiversity research. LifeWatch has also recently funded some short-term data input projects, helpfully including some polychaete work in Syllidae, Siboglinidae, and Terebellidae.

Please use the Polychaeta interface at WoRMS when appropriate. You'll find more information, better displayed - http://www.marinespecies.org/polychaeta/index.php
