[Arabidopsis] Post-Doctoral Research Position (Phytochrome Signalling)

A post-doctoral position is available at the Department of Botany, Albert Ludwig 
University, Freiburg, Germany. The successful candidate will work in a research team 
studying the family of phytochrome photoreceptors in Arabidopsis. The project will focus 
on the isolation and characterisation of protein complexes involved in early steps of 
phytochrome signalling. Furthermore, the successful applicant is expected to use the 
insight gained through this work to develop phytochrome-based molecular tools for 
application in biotechnology.

Highly motivated candidates with a PhD in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry are encouraged 
to apply. Excellent communication skills and a strong publication record demonstrating 
expertise in a range of molecular techniques are required. Although funding for this 
position is secured until end of 2010 the successful candidate is expected to apply for 
eligible fellowships.

The position is available from summer 2008. Salary and social benefits are according to 
German BAT IIa (E12).

The Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg (http://www.uni-freiburg.de/) offers excellent

community. Freiburg, the capital of the Black Forest, is a city with a dynamic cultural
