    I am looking for a reducing agent which should not destroy GUS 
(B-Glucuronidase, pH 7.0 should be maintained), but prevent plant tissues 
(alfalfa) from oxidation (turning into brown) when they are sliced (on the 
vibrotome). Any suggestions.
       I also need to know how GUS stained plant material can embedded for 
sectioning. I am actually looking for a precedure for dehydration,
embedding and
sectioning in order to visualize GUS staining.
