Sorry, folks, but I transposed the numbers on the wavelengths for the Olympus
BX50 U-MNU filter set in my last message. The correct features of this
filter set are:
Dichroic mirror: DM400
Exciter filter: BP360-370 (not 360-730 as was given in last post)
Barrier filter: BA420
Again, this filter set is useful for quick scanning of bomabarded tissue
expressing GFP because the intensity of fluorescence is much higher than with
the typical FITC filter sets. Beware of the photobleaching problem, however.
