   Maybe we could have a vote on the issue of newsgroup moderation after some
discussion.  I'm in favor of moderation if it's not too much of a hassle.  The
inappropriate messages not only cost everyone time to identify and delete; they
also take up disk space which can become a serious problem.  For discussion
purposes, it would be useful to let everyone know what human and financial
resources would be required to change the newsgroup from "unmoderated" to
   As far as a possible vote goes, I feel that its result should not be binding
but merely represent a recommendation.
