Dear Netters;

On the behalf of my collegue, I post a question related to 'Acid phosphatase'.
He want to know
1. the function of acid phosphatase(AP)
2. a protein which can bind AP.
3. As a dimer, can they(AP+a protein)function as a transcription factor?
4. Is there a conserved region in AP?

Thanks in advance.

And also thanks to Dr. Osteryoung, Dr. Joyce, and Dr. Li who answered my
question about polyadenylation signal.
