qualified candidates in several areas. Excellent communication skills
and the ability to work in a multi-site, team based environment are
requirements. For BS/MS positions a degree in molecular biology or
biochemistry, and/or plant physiology is required. For PhD positions,
a doctorate in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or plant
physiology and productive postdoctoral experience is required.
BS/MS Protein Biochemist: Should be able to plan and perform a wide
range of protein techniques, focused on transgenic plant expression,
protein characterization, and downstream processing of target
proteins. An understanding of purification from complex matrices and
characterization of post-translational modifications is desirable.
PhD Plant Molecular Biologist, Nutrition: The successful candidate
will lead an effort to understand and manipulate seed composition,
with an initial emphasis on endogenous and transgene soybean
expression and analysis.
PhD Molecular Biochemist, Nutrition: The successful candidate will
contribute significantly to an effort to modify protein quality and
biosynthesis in plants. Demonstrated strengths in biochemistry and
protein structure/function are desirable.
PhD Molecular Biochemist, Pharmaceutical: The successful candidate
will contribute significantly to modify the host plant and protein
targets. A working knowledge of eukaryotic protein synthesis and
modification is essential. Postdoctoral experience in protein
