Dear Colleagues:

A short-term postdoctoral position is available immediately to
assist with the cellular and molecular characterization of titan
mutants of Arabidopsis defective in mitosis and cell cycle control
during seed development.  The successful applicant will assist
with map-based cloning, insertional mutagenesis, and cell
biological projects involving several titan mutants with enlarged
endosperm nuclei.  Expertise in molecular genetics and a Ph.D. in
one of the biological sciences are required.  Preference will be
given to applicants with extensive research experience in cell and
molecular biology who can make significant contributions to
ongoing projects within a 6-10 month funding period.  Deadline for
applications is September 18 or until the position is filled.  A
start date of October or November 1998 is preferred.
