OPPORTUNITIES IN PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY / BIOCHEMISTRY

SemBioSys Genetics Inc. is a Calgary-based biotechnology company engaged in
the genetic improvement of oilseed plants for production of high-value
products for use in pharmaceutical, food and agricultural industries.  We are
seeking several highly motivated researchers who will join a team of
biologists, biochemists and business professionals, creating novel commercial
products in oilseeds.

Research Assistant/Associate - Biochemist/Molecular Biologist
The successful candidate will have a degree in biochemistry or molecular
biology and a strong track record in analytical and biochemical techniques.
Your responsibilites will include protein purification and analysis of
products from transgenic plants. (Job #01/99)

Research Assistant/Associate - Biochemist/Molecular Biologist
The successful candidate will have a B.Sc., with several years experience or a
M.Sc. in biochemistry or molecular biology. Your responsibilities will include
vector construction and heterologous expression of proteins in microbial
systems.  Experience in lipid biochemistry will be an asset. (Job #02/99)

Research Assistant - Plant Tissue Culture
The successful candidate will have a B.Sc., with several years experience or a
M.Sc. in plant biology, with training in plant transformation and tissue
culture.  Experience with growth of Arabidopsis and protein analysis will be

Research Associate/Scientist - Molecular Biologist
The successful candidate will have a M.Sc., with several years experience or
Ph.D. in molecular biology.  Your responsiblities will include vector
construction, analysis of in vitro translation products and genetic analysis
of transgenic Arabidopsis. (Job #04/99)

Research Associate/Scientist - Plant Biotechnologist
The successful candidate will have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in plant biology and a
strong track record in tissue culture and plant transformation. Preference
will be given to candidates with experience in the tissue culture of flax or
safflower.  Experience in molecular biology and recombinant DNA techniques
will be an asset.  (Job #05/99)
