PostDoctoral Position

Dissection of Signal Transduction Pathways of Host-Pathogen Interactions
Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Yale University

A postdoctoral position is available to study signaling in
plant-microbe interactions. We are using combined genetic and molecular
approaches in the model plant system Arabidopsis thaliana and crop plants
tomato and tobacco to:
1) gain insight into how plant resistance genes mediated signal
transduction pathway that leads to hypersensitive response (localized cell
death), restriction of pathogen spread and systemic acquired resistance
(Baker, et. al., 1997, Science 276:726-733) and
2) study viral pathogenesis.
