Postdoctoral position available at University of Washington-
Plant developmental genetics

An NSF-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the
laboratory of Dr. Keiko Torii (http://faculty.washington.edu/ktorii) to
study a role of cell cycle regulators for plant organ morphogenesis. A
successful candidate will take an integrated molecular-genetic and cell
biological approach to characterize Arabidopsis mutants that lack a family
of cell cycle regulators.

This is a collaborative project of three laboratories with distinct
expertise in Seattle area: Dr. Keiko Torii (Plant Developmental Biology,
UW-Botany); Dr. Luca Comai (Plant Genetics,UW-Botany); and Dr. Jim
(Mammalian Cell-cycle Regulation, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research
Center). The successful candidate will take advantage of the
collaborative environment of the three research groups.

For the information about each PI: Please see the following Web sites:

The candidate must have a background in basic molecular biology,
biochemistry, or cell biology. However, pervious experience in a plant
system is not essential.

Salaries are competitive, and we have very good benefits (medical, dental,
and vision insurance as well as retirement benefits).

If interested, please send (or e-mail) your cover letter, CV, and names
