POSTDOCTORAL POSITION - Plant Cell Wall Synthesis
Max-Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology (Potsdam, Germany)
Lab of Dr. Wolf Scheible
A post-doctoral position funded by the German Research Council (DFG)
is immediately available for up to three years at the Max-Planck
Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology. The successful applicant
will work in a research team studying genetic, molecular and
physiological aspects of cell wall synthesis in Arabidopsis. The
research topic covers the functional investigation of cellulose
synthase isoforms using T-DNA tagged mutants, overexpression- and
epitope-tagged lines, the regulation of cellulose biosynthesis, as
well as genetic and physiological investigations of carbon allocation.
Applicants should hold a PhD in genetics/biochemistry with extensive
experience in plant molecular biology. Additional knowledge of
confocal fluorescence microscopy and immunolocalization techniques is
advantageous. Compensation is according to the German BAT-IIa O scale.
Interested applicants can contact Dr. Wolf Scheible
