Dear Arabidopsis researchers,
In consultation with members of the Arabidopsis community I've written a
draft policy statement outlining proposed evidence standards for
updating the Arabidopsis genome sequence. These evidence standards are
intended to reflect a community consensus on the strength of evidence
that should be required to correct sequencing errors and ensure the best
possible quality and consistency for the Arabidopsis genome sequence.
Please have a look at the policy statement and add your comments and
suggestions for revision at the bottom of the document. You can access
the document and add your comments here:
http://arabidopsis.org/doc/portals/genAnnotation/gene_structural_annotation/ref_genome_sequence/11413
Comments and suggestions will be incorporated into a final version of
the policy document by the end of March 2009.
Best regards,
Eva Huala
TAIR Director
