A postdoc position is available under the supervision of Professors Julin
Maloof and Richard Michelmore in the field of Brassica bioinformatics.  The
applicant will work on a collaborative project between UC Davis and Fungi
and Plants Company (Korea) to develop predictive genomic selection models
to accelerate  *Brassica napus *breeding*.*  The project will include
analysis of Illumina and PacBio data for genome assembly and polymorphism
detection, determination of differentially expressed genes from RNA
sequencing data, reconstruction of genetic regulatory networks, and
development of genomic selection models that incorporate genotype, gene
expression, and phenotypic information for predicting breeding
performance.  Qualifications: a Ph.D. in genomics, genetics,
bioinformatics, biostatistics or a related field, and experience
programming in R, Python or Perl.  One year appointment with the
possibility of renewal for an additional two years,  To apply please send a
